Ocean Ridge Homes for Sale
Ocean Ridge is just east of Boynton Beach nestled between the Intercoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. It's located just north of the community of Briny Breezes and south of the Ocean Inlet Park. Home to less than 2000 residents, this small coastal community along US Highway A1A has a total area of just 2 mi.², most of it being water. It was originally founded as the Town of Boynton Beach back in 1931 but due to some disputes over beach area property taxes, people moved to this part of the town and in 1939 the name was officially changed the Ocean Ridge because Boynton Beach resembled too much of Daytona Beach and was messing with the mail system.
