The Fuchs Group Explores West Palm Beach

4 reasons why our firm is so focused on “The Island”

It’s true. While we are proud to market real estate throughout South Florida, West Palm Beach always holds a special place in our hearts, today more than ever! As distinct as the entire region can be from virtually anywhere else in the state, West Palm feels like an entirely different Florida altogether. Why is that? The Fuchs Group wondered as well, so we took a good look at what draws us to this gem of a community, and wanted to share what we found:

Transportation is Optional

Whether you are a local or are just visiting, once you arrive on Palm Beach Island, everything is within walking distance! While enjoying the waterfront or the vibrant downtown, you won’t need your car for any of it. When compared to the bustle of Miami, or even downtown Ft. Lauderdale, the island can be a much-needed oasis.

Scuba Diving where *Boating* is Optional

Did you know that the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) named WPB “the best dive site in the world” in 2014? The reason is because you can walk into the water at Phil Foster Park at high tide, either with your own equipment or with rentals from a nearby dive shop, and you will find seahorses, octopi, stingray, and more. The maximum depth is only about 20 feet, but you will see a variety of colorful tropical marine life swarming around the bridge pillars in what is truly one of the most unique sites you will find undersea.

Explore “Old Money” where Luxury Living is anything but Optional

On the way to Miami, Henry Flagler used his railroad to lure wealthy northerners to Palm Beach with its sandy beaches and luxury hotels. When you explore Palm Beach proper, you will find remnants of that by-gone era, with enormous mansions as well as Worth Avenue, considered the Rodeo Drive of Florida.

But that sort of money has also always influenced art, and that remains true for this region as well. In addition to the Henry Flagler Museum for the history of the area, look for the Norton Museum of Art for works that reflect everything from Asian pottery to Renaissance work to the most modern of gallery displays. You can take a moment in the sculpture garden to view the water and get yourself centered with life, the universe and everything…and then let’s go grab a drink!

Where Waterfront Drinking and Dining make that On-Vacation Feeling less-than Optional

Whether it is cocktails, game night, or fine dining for business clients and special occasions, you will find a host of idyllic options to enjoy such moments on the edge of the surf. And if the last year of rolling quarantines and social distancing has taught us anything, it is outdoor dining is the way to go, and Palm Beach has that in abundance!

You do not have to be on vacation while in WPB to feel like you are always on vacation. Spend some time at Flagler’s iconic The Breakers or the AAA-Four-Diamond Hilton West Palm Beach downtown, or visit the Canopy rooftop bar, and be immediately transported to a traveling vibe without ever leaving your hometown. Visit Rosemary Square and The Wishing Tree, an LED-light banyan tree developed by Symmetry Labs (who produced similar luminescent works at Burning Man), with spectacular shows after sunset, and you will walk away feeling as if you had traveled across the country rather than across town.

The Fuchs Group wants to be your resource, whether you are thinking of moving to South Florida to get that year-round vacation feel, or already live in the tri-county South Florida area and simply want to take advantage of this incredible market. We would be honored to help you plan! Call us today at 954-415-8263 and let us find the perfect solution to your need to get away!
